Diane Young is the Chief Operating Officer of Navy Federal Financial Group (NFFG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Navy Federal Credit Union in Vienna, VA. She is responsible for leading the team that serves the unique financial planning needs of the credit union members and their families. Using her favorite Abraham Lincoln quote as a guide, “whatever you are, be a good one,” Diane’s leadership strengthens the organization’s mission to bring successful financial management to all those who choose NFFG as their partner for investment, protection, and title services.

Diane’s experience spans the industry – from full-service firms like Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley to online trading and investing firms such as TD Ameritrade and E*TRADE Financial. In her various roles, she focused on the investing and retirement planning needs of the emerging affluent to the ultra-high net worth populations. Most recently, she served at Goldman Sachs, building and distributing a digital securities-based lending program for the independent advisor channel. 

Diane is a proud recipient of the CEO Leadership Achievement Award at E*TRADE. And, in 2018, she received the ESGR Patriot Award for creating a “Culture of Support” for the Military Reservists on her team. With employee well-being at the center of her leadership priorities, she fostered a team dynamic that freed Reservists of worry over their careers and livelihoods while they fulfilled their service duty.  

A graduate of Adelphi University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Education, Diane also completed a mini-MBA in Digital Marketing at Rutgers University and holds FINRA licenses 7, 66, and 24.  She serves as an advisory board member for Navy Federal Serves and Members Trust Company (MTC), and as director on the boards of the Bank Insurance and Securities Association (BISA) and the Rotary Club of Vienna, VA.
